Job Summary
The Airport Services Duty Officer is responsible for supervising daily airport operations, coordinating between airport departments, managing staff on shift, and ensuring safe and punctual Qatar Airways flight operations. The role focuses on maintaining high customer service standards while ensuring compliance with aviation safety and security procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise airport operational activities during shifts.
- Coordinate with ground handling agents and airport service providers.
- Ensure passenger and aircraft handling procedures meet safety standards.
- Handle customer complaints and operational disruptions efficiently.
- Monitor staff performance and optimize manpower allocation.
- Conduct operational briefings and prepare station reports.
- Support on-time flight departures and smooth airport operations.
- Ensure compliance with IATA, ICAO, and Qatar Airways operational procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant university qualification.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in airline operations or ground handling services.
- Strong knowledge of airport operations, ramp handling, and dangerous goods regulations.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- High computer literacy.
- Strong leadership, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage operational challenges.
